Can any one explain what to expect having a prostate ultrasound and stimulstion test done.

My Dr has me scheduled for this coming up next week.

Set tho see a specialist in urioligy , but was told it would be a ultrasound and stimulation test.
That's all my Dr told me

"In detecting prostate cancer, your doctor might also recommend a transrectal ultrasound. During this exam, a small probe is inserted into the rectum and sound waves provide a picture of the prostate and measure its size. Images will reveal tumors, calcifications and any enlargement of the prostate."

As far as prostate massage I would recommend google.

the urologist can give you the best information about how the tests are to be done and what for.

its best for you to ask all your questions first, before consenting to do the tests and having them scheduled....

i suppose you can look at youtube videos to find out what the procedure may actually look like. its better than figuring it out from just reading about how it's described, since it may be hard to imagine... and you can have a better idea on what questions you want to ask when you do get to meet your urologist...
