Let me remind you
Every person has a mind of their own too
A beginning to the end
A past and a present.
Don't forget about the future
We all have to sew our own sutures.
Pains and regrets, our assets and debts
and fret over things we can't change
always think that this is just a "phase."
We all hide behind our masks every day
There's words we always seem to fail to say
What about "I love you" at the end of the day?
but all we ever hear is how much we hate!
yet, all we know is our own pain!
and say, that we can "relate."
I'll keep it straight, you need to give up your sympathy
switch it around and show empathy
then maybe, no one would feel so empty!
There's plenty of things that are never seen or heard
every one of us has to carry a burden of our words
Yet all we can seem to think about is what hurts us, first.
Behind all your pretty smiles
are things that don't just last for a "little while."
If you're unhappy then frown
show the world it's okay to be U P S I D E D O W N!
