My daughter sent me an e-mail of my son's picture
a little boy with a sad face firmly drawn
when he used to be full of smiles and hugs and laughter and love
always wanting to snuggle goodnight
knowing everything would be allright
before my ex's angry words and hits made him dream bad dreams and draw sad face's
I cannot erase the sad face
but I can give him all my support and all my love and each day show him
he is cared about and special
and that he will NEVER have to walk on eggshells
let him laugh and play and heal one day
and let us all be a good family
with every word and deed be an example to others
and not plastic
and if our faces for a moment reflect sadness, let it be in care for others, and not for standing pain we live in
for I know that faith can move mountains
carry us over any hard way
to a better life
a NEW tomorrow
if we BELIEVE!
