Police responded to a large brawl involving 20 people in City Heights on Saturday.

The brawl sounding more like a scene from The Walking Dead, began as a party at the 3600 block of Altadena Avenue, escalating to a full-on battle of 20 men wielding machetes, chain saws and bottles by the time authorities arrived at around 11:40 p.m.

According to NBC, two people were transported to a local hospital with injuries, while others sustained less severe injuries, say the San Diego Police. The police only confirmed one arrest that charged the individual with an assault with a deadly weapon.

For a state known for some of its toughest gun laws in the country, California certainly has a curious number of violent machete attacks.

Here are just some recent ones:

October, 2011 A man wielding a machete chased after a group of friends who were leaving a bar.
July, 2014 A 21-year-old struggling with mental illness man fatally shot by San Diego police in City Heights after wounding a police dog with a machete and swinging it at an officer.
August, 2014 A man was injured and another arrested following an assault with a machete on a ranch in the Tijuana River Valley.
November, 2014 51-year-old man slashed by an assailant in a storm drain with a machete
December, 2014 Willow Creek, teen attacks police with machete and is shot and killed by Highway Patrol.

20 people,Chainsaws, machete's and bottles... and only 1 arrest... does that seem a bit odd?

so there were 20 men, thats a given,, but how many had chainsaws, or bottles or machetes?

I mean, 10 men with machetes and 9 with chainsaws and 1 with a bottle

is a different scene than 18 with bottles , 1 with a machete, and 1 with a chainsaw,,,


or even 15 unarmed, 1 with a chainsaw, 1 with a machete and 3 with bottles ....lol

i was thinking the same thing, seems a bit hyped up for sales purposes...

they've shot a lot more people for way less...lol

I lived near there and had bars on the windows and so many locks on the reso many sirens and reports that for fear people stayed indoors as much as possible and ran around on their excersize toys like hampster people and we call this "civilized?"
