im pretty new to the online dating thing. since I have joined this site seems like every girl that I click on hasn't logged into their account for over a month. some of them I tried to message with no luck. im wondering if maybe a paid site would be better because if your paying for something you might be more inclined to actually use it. when I do a search of people in my area, only like the first 2 pages out of 700+ have people on there that actually log on to their account. I was wondering has anyone on here tried a paid site before and if so do you think its better to use a paid site if you are really trying to find someone. im sick of meeting girls in bars and other than a bar I don't really feel comfortable trying to just spark up a random conversation with a girl that I meet in say a store or just anywhere in public.

I've only used this site, the free version. after spending some time hanging out in the forums and making friends, a very nice man and I found each other.

Man, Im new to this site also...but Im not new to dating sites. Any site forums are where its at. .At least theres SOME honesty to hold folks to...i.e., their posts. Cant lie their way outta them.

I do like the forums. but other than that I feel like this isn't going to go anywhere. literally every girl that I would be interested in doesn't even check their account anymore... its just like browsing a bunch of girls you most likely will never talk to.

I have learned that Women on dating sites that are paid sites are way more serious and ready for something. It's true because they're paying for it! After talking with 10 different women on here, met one woman and we met. She wasn't like her photos. Seems they really just want the attention talking when it's good for them. One day I will find her! Know what I need and want, yet unfortunately still online dating at the moment. POF seemed better for non-paying sites. Hope you find her also dude!

Online dating is just another tool in your dating toolbox....its not the be all, end all solution. Still go out with friends, meet new people, etc.....just use this place as another option.....all the advice I got for ya, good luck man!

ive talked to only a handful of girls since joining here, and two of them were scammers who immediately started telling me about theyre money problems and asking me if I can send them money to Kenya and blah blah. saying "i have a cash voucher for 24,000$ but the banking system down here wont accept it, if you can just send me 200$ I promise I will pay you back when I get back to the states to meet you." always saying they work with unicef or things like that helping little kids in other countries and so on. im no idiot and I would never fall for some scumbag scammer tricks. guess ill give it a little more time and if nothing changes maybe ill try a paid site as I hate meeting girls in bars and stuff like that. when I do a search of girls within 100 miles of me, I get like 700+ pages of girls, and only the first 2 pages are people who actually use their account, all the rest are girls who made a profile 3 years ago and haven't checked it since. they should have some sort of rule where if you don't log in for a certain time your profile wont be shown to other people. not deactivating their account but just not showing the profile unless you log in say once a month or something like that. would make things a lot easier.

are mail order brides even legal haha? ive heard of mail order brides but have no idea what they are. isn't that like considered human trafficking?

that's the problem is theres barely any of them. im not the pickiest guy in the world but I know what im looking for and I can usually tell by someones profile if I would be interested in them or not. and of the 10 girls that come up that actually log into their profile none of them seem like they would be a good fit for me. im not just trying to hook up with anyone as I could just go to a bar and pick up some drunk skeezer, im past that stage in my life. id rather have something more meaningful.

The free aspect of this site worked for me.....dont see the point of paying.....
I don't search anymore but the few times I did most women on the first 3 or 4 pages where either online or had visited the site in the last few days to a month.....
Anyway keep searching, my tip is to get your views across in the forums.....there is hundred of lurkers reading all the time and when they like your views that will drop you an email.....
