still sitting here wishing ron paul would have became the president in 2008 that liberated us from the tyranny we have been living under. but I guess the powers that be didn't want that. funny how ron paul is all about abiding by the constitution, which made him "too radical" to become president, give me a break! since when did wanting to follow the constitution become radical, I think voting a man who cant even provide a real SSN is more radical? I can see it now if ron paul were president, no more income tax, no more IRS no more pointless government agencies sponging up our tax money, what a radical world that would be. a radical world I would love to be a part of. I know he isn't going to but if your out there ron paul, run again in 2016, your our only hope.... rand paul isn't bad, hes better than most politicians we have now, but he definitely isn't his father. would love to know what some of you other folks think about good ol ron paul, a true American.

I think people take for granted alot of the way we live is due to government support and that taking away many of the 'government' that people consider 'tyranny'

well I definitely disagree with you there. can you please define "government support"? the federal government is only supposed to have a limited role in americans lives, not be controlling every aspect of your life. the more alphabet agency's we get, the less freedoms we have. the America that was founded back in the day is nothing compared to what we live in today, people back then actually had freedom, and didn't worry about government constantly spying on them and taking all your hard earned money in the form of "income tax" which is basically just slavery, and illegal... I go to work 40 hours a week, by the time I get my check roughly a 3rd of it is gone without my consent, that is theft and or slavery. so instead of having a limited government that only serves the functions it was created to do, you would rather have a gigantic group of agencies and politicians telling you how you should live YOUR life? I dont understand your logic. if only I could see the looks on the peoples faces that died for us to have freedom, only so dumb people can be convinced to give up their liberties for safety. liberties is your safety. federal government is way overstepping their bounds like never before... look at the right to bear arms for instance, clearly says "this right shall not be infringed", but yet the federal gov. wants to ban this gun, and this ammo, and this, and that and so on. when they really have no authority whatsoever to do so. the reason we have the right to bear arms is to protect ourselves from people like Obama and all the rest of the crooks in Washington. the founding fathers knew about tyranny that's why they said the right to bear arms shall not be infringed, so we cant get taken over by a tyrannical government. but hey if you want a giant government that spies on its citizens, holds them without due process, and tramples all of our god given and constitutional rights, than hey that's up to you, I would rather live in the America with a limited government where freedom is a real thing, and not some fairytale your brainwashed to believe in elementary school.

The president has limited power, and I don't think that electing RP would have changed much within the country, unless it accompanied other changes in congress and elsewhere.

I would have loved to have seen what would have happened with US foreign policy, though, as that's an area in which the president has greater power.

The mistake made by so many Americans is thinking that if only one particular politician is elected President, that will solve all of our problems. Quite frankly, I could never vote for Ron Paul for President, however, I do believe that we need more people like him in Congress. Not that I agree with all that he stands for, but everyone knows where he stands. Let's start voting out these corrupt career politicians who care more about the next election than the Constitution they swore to uphold. The problem isn't that we don't elect the "right" person. The problem is we keep electing the wrong people, and until We The People stand up and involve ourselves in the political process, things won't get any better. Watching from the sidelines, not getting involved in the nomination process, and only showing up on election day ensures that we will keep getting the same bad choices. And only showing up in Presidential years won't change Congress.

you make some good points, but I still think we would be a hell of a lot better off with a president who actually respects the constitution, than one who does nothing but destroy it.

I did vote for Ron Paul in the preliminaries, but it didn't help. Now I am back to not voting at all, that was the first time I had ever voted. I don't believe in voting for the lesser evil, I mean if no one voted that would be voting too. It's a choice that everyone should be more aware of when there is no good candidate. And doesn't a country like the US deserve someone greater than Obama, Bush or Clinton?
