Topic: Deactivation Of Account | |
---|---|
It depressed when a real someone you met on here who brings a joyful moment in the forums deactivated his/her account without notifying you of his/her sudden deactivation. Even when you are aware of his/her deactivation before he/she deactivates, it depressed.
Would you because you don't want anyone to feel depressed and then leave your account active? |

No, because I am not responsible for how another adult feels. |

The first thread I wrote was on exactly the same topic, and I got a wave of answers just like Dodo_David's. He is of the group of people who seem to have given up on the "romance" of the site, and are just on to browse the forums. This answer also explains a lot of the behavior you'll see towards people on the forums, which I'm guessing you've already noticed.
I figure that if you're actually looking for happiness and someone to share it with, you'd give sites like Mingle Squared a longer visit than a lot of people do, or at least check in once every month or two. Mingle Squared is a great site in that it allows us to communicate for free, so that puts it head and shoulders above a lot of other sites I've used. I don't know why people would just give up on a good deal like that. |

Seems to me that reality and the English language are hard things to come by...

how would you like to be notified if someone is thinking of deactivating their account?? If you mentioned it to the ppl you are 'friends' with - that seems fair- but would you expect them to make some sort of announcement in a forum or every forum just so everyone knows? I think it is a personal decision - totally. |

They will be deleted as fast as they are seen that includes post as well. Honestly if they are that good of a friend you most likely would have already been given another contact through e-mail here if they wanted to be contacted. People come and people go no one is obligated to notify others when they leave. |

Deactivated doesn't mean deleted.
One click, and they're back. Magic. |
