Yes, this verse is pertinent to an individual who's conscience is stumbled relative to the fact that somebody else has brought to their attention that a certain food that otherwise would be perfectly fine to have... Has been sacrificed to another Deity or Idol. The individual who has received this information is duty-bound to NOT eat relative to the fact that others mite be stumbled... Thus, while there's nothing technically wrong with the food itself he or she shouldn't eat for the benefit of others. As for the reference from what Jesus said at Mark 7... Obviously, the issue had more to do with what people should be conscience of taking into their heads through their ears and eyes, and not-so-much the already-known dietary prerequisites that would've been common understanding to the fellow Jews with whom Jesus is speaking to.

veg is the best The problem with being all Vegan... You can't get Vitamin B-12 into Your diet. And if You're in the habit of popping a pill for B-12... How 'O'natural is that ?

Remember Moe, Jesus was raised completely in a Jewish household and fully practiced all the prerequisites of Levitical Law. Once more... While ALL KOSHER FOODS are deemed Halal, not all Halal foods are Kosher.

In Microbiology class we learned why many foods were not thought good at the time due to impurities, parasites, temp cooking, etc. Yes, I believe the New Testament says if we recieve with thanksgiving we can eat those foods now, but still they are not very good for us. For it is out of the heart of man or women, corruption comes, not what he or she eats.

Rabbits are totally Herbivorous. (Only Eats Vegetation) Also, Rabbits are not Rodents ! Mice and Rats are Rodents, and Omnivorous, and therefor Unclean to eat. Pigs are Omnivorous. (Eats Both Flesh And Vegetation) Now, I don't happen to know if Capybara are just Herbivorous, or do they eat both Meat and Vegetation ? If a Capybara is totally Herbivorous... Then a Muslim could eat it. If a Capybara is an Omnivore... Then a Muslim will not eat it.

By Your own admission, You've recognized that certain foods are Systemically Unclean, and those foods are almost always Omnivorous Animals. Once more, that which is a Physically Unfit to eat doesn't have anything to do with the Moral Disposition of the Heart. Remember, Jesus was always only 'ever' talking, while on Earth, to his fellow Jewish countrymen, who, already, were familiar with that which was, already, Clean to eat.
