For the majority of people, I find these two tasks incompatible.

I will explain: The Great Commission is to spread the gospel to the four corners of the world. The biggest example of this is Columbus, who if you read his diaries, sailed the ocean blue 1492 in order to sporead the gospel; apparently he was better at spread VD, etc.

The Great Commandment is to "Love One Another"

These two do not seem to go well together. From Xians beheading Muslims in the Central African Republic to "America's Pastor" Rick Warren helping to write the Kenyan law that homosexuals should be killed.

In that case, I'll stand by my original statement.

The problem with this 'Great Commission' is it obliged all to conform under duress.

Where-as, the 'Great Commandment' to, "Love One Another", obliged all the Faithful to, endure with patience, those who didn't want to have anything to do with the Great Commission!

Duress, was faster than patience.
