Hey, did anyone hear ManRam's comments after Boston fell into their(much deserved, IMO)1-3 hole?

I heard them on Jim Rome's show.

Manny Rameriz said it doesn't matter if Boston loses this series, there's always next year.

I took this as Boston has already given up, and that's fine with me! People say everyone must be either a Yankees or Red Sox fan.

Well, I must be one of the weird ones because I FREAKING DESPISE BOTH OF THEM!!!!!!!!!

Now don't tell me you don't think Jim Rome gave you just enough Manny to turn it into a controversy now do you? I've been listening to Manny for - what, 8 years now. The Boston media is REDICULOUS with their slant against Manny. All the guy does is go out and do his job. Okay, so every now and then he'll stroll down the basepath on a ground-out, or make a routine fly ball an adventure. But without him - the Red Sox would be the Baltimore Orioles. Say what you will about good ole Manny. I'll take him on my team any day.

And by the way - I'm a Yankee fan.

Rome played the clip. It was ManRam talking, not Rome saying it.

Until Baseball follows other sports and gets a salary cap, I'll continue to root for the smaller-market teams.

And, yes, I don't care for the Yankees OR the Red Sox.
