I came across a thread where someone said that a guy that was in jail would probably come out with drug, and steroid addictions and stds..... i know its a touchy subject and everyone on here is completely innocent ( you know wonderful ppl who never ever have done anything wronglaugh ), I was just wondering if anyone knows of anyone who comes out of jail hooked to cocaine and HGH dripping from the clap???? Most the stories Ive heard or seen on made for tv movies is the oppositebigsmile

Most arent addicted then......jail is a major detox!!! The clap.....I guess they could have.....but then again there are medical doctors to clear that up for them........what they do have when they come out of jail are basically no prospects, no job (yet)....and even more "bad" friends.

Prisoners get better FREE medical care, than others get while paying insurance & the doc/med's bills.

If you have a treatable STD, it will be treated immediately upon your entering of prison. That way if anyone contracts an STD in prison, they know that the person had sex with an employee of the prison.

Other than that, their healthcare sucks. It can take weeks or months for a simple infection to be treated.

Drugs are very prevalent in prison. It's not uncommon for someone to exit prison addicted. The reason that drugs are so common is that they sell for a lot more than on the street. A $5 crack rock would probably be $50 in prison, a huge temptation to the guards. I don't know about steriods or HGH and other muscle enhancers, but illegal drugs are definately available.

I know these things, because I know someone who works in a prison. I don't plan on going there at all.

my cousin was pretty messed up when he entered...but became much worse so after a couple years in the pen. he died of AIDS a few years later.

i've known, um...LOTS of people that have been in prison...and none of them came out better, other than one.

It’s a sad thing that prisons are thought of as a place to punish people for their crimes.

They should seriously be thought of as places to genuinely rehab people, but even the ones that claim to be doing that are going about it all wrong. They still lay the guilt trip on the prisoners.

Some prisoners are seriously bad people who may even be beyond help, but I have faith that the vast majority of people in prison are not really all that bad, more like disillusioned or simple victims themselves of bad circumstances. This is particularly true of people who are in jail because of drug use.

In fact, there should be differnet type of prisons for differnet types of crimes. It seem utterly absurd to me to put someone who’s only crime is drug use in with people who have committed arm robbery, rape, or even murder.

Mankind is still seriously living in the dark ages. We think that we are out of the dark ages because of technology, but on a social level we haven’t moved forward at nearly the level our technology has moved forward. In truth we’re just medieval people with computers and remote control TVs. laugh

We haven’t really advanced much on a social level from the dark ages when it comes with dealing with the problems of humanity.
