It's bad enough that your land lines are clobbered by marketeers, but now they are doing it to cell phones.

The do not call list works for some but not all...
Whatever happened to unlisted number's?

You would be suprised as to just who sells these lists...

thanks for the reminder, i'll do it at lunch...i put my landline on this 3 or 4 yrs ago, but the last few months i've been getting calls for credit cards again...irritating

You can also sign up for the DO NOT CALL LIST online, just Google it and it come right up. Make sure all your numbers are listed if you have mutli lines on your plan.

but my kids all do...

I am on the "national do not call directory"

with my land line and even then,
a call or two will slip by and I have to remind them,
that they are invading on my privacy...
I don't want to be rude but, they are calling me...I am not bugging them, and it is a blatant invasion of people's privacy and if the telemarketers don't like getting told off, and getting hung up on, well, they should get another job...

true about online, but done personally happens faster.

I reported 3 ppl that called my home phone and they got fined.

They are so sneaky and lie...& it is difficult to find out who the company is & anything about them to actually report.

Thanks, Kojack. I know that is an important thing to do because with a cell you get charged whether you make the call or the other one is calling you. Seems like it should be illegal for a telemarker to call a cell phone because of that.
