Eddie Hill.....a true drag racing legend..... I have worked in his pits the 1983 season he set a world record that last race , won the race at 220 mph 300 and something kph. Anyway the boat got airborne and he went down at 220 in an open cockpit drag boat the "Texan" an all white hydroplane . Yes he survived... Tough ole boy...... he is a true god of drag racing..... I mean in 1956he got kicked off the track in Las Vegas for pealing up the asphalt....... Aren't ya supposed to hook up? Oh and he went on to break the 5 second mark in the 1/4 mile for supershops.
