Or however those of you not from the US refer to hauling your own domicile along when traveling. ;-)
I must admit, I am mostly a tent camper, but in my, ahem, more mature years, I find out I'm starting to wimp out at the temp extremes. So, a few years ago I did give in and bought a smallish camper. I very much enjoyed it. In fact I enjoyed it so much I wrote a little song about it. I don't know how to put the music on paper, but here are the lyrics: ----------- Here I sit at the dumping station Just like the rest of the RV nation, buddy I gotta lighten my load Mosey on down the road (refrain) I don't need no motel RV's don't ring my bell Tents get hotter than hell! I need a camper to tow I need a camper to tow I don't need a whole lot of money To stay in the woods just me and my honey Instead of hanging out in bars Make out under the stars (refrain) I don't need no motel RV's don't ring my bell Tents get hotter than hell! I need a camper to tow Shoulda done it long time ago I'd even take it to Tokio Hitch it to the truck and go I need a camper to tow! -------- So, who on here enjoys it? I lost mine in the divorce, and I do miss it. More than my ex, lol. Any good camper stories? ;-) |

In the states we usually refer to this as RVing. Just an FYI :)

You're right, but not strictly correct as some folks have pointed out to me. Actually, rv's are the motorized ones. Campers are the tow behinds. I wanted to make sure I made the distinction.
