Topic: What are expectations of a first date? | |
---|---|
For me, an expectation of a first date would be getting to know each other, seeing all the commonalities,(sorry I might be making up words again) and hopefully if the date was good....perhaps a 2nd date. *shrugging*

Connection, laughs, a bit of spice, irony, surprise at common themes.... If dinner, (any meal), or anything that involves service people is involved...I will be paying attention to how you treat "them". It seems a date is an "interview" when we are anything but "real"....I'll let my guard down a bit if you will. I can be a bit flippant (read upwards lol). You may be a bit sardonic. If a bit about the greater good of Humanity comes up, OH WHAT A TREAT! Let's be kind and try our hardest to be ourselves! To reiterate... |

I have discovered it has not changed much... it is just accelerated that is all... dates move at a faster pace..
... you meet and greet decide instantly.. if you are going to continue or not... it is a lot.. like a job interview.. unfortunately... but if you find the right employer.... the benefits and bonuses are exceptional..mmmm...lol |

Most of my first dates are dinner dates and they always go one of two ways...Strained conversation, trying not to look at my watch, happy to get home and kick back .....or.......being so into great conversation and each other that we don't realize we are the only patrons left in the restaurant until our waiter "prompts" us, taking the long way home, sharing some seriously hawt goodnight kisses and making plans for our next date....
My expectations would be the second scenario .... |

I think you have skipped the third way... them standing outside your window at 3 o'clock in the morning..
professing their love to you.. Ohhh..Leigh.. where out thou Leigh.. please do not forsaken me... my love is blind.... to all others but you..... oh wait a minute thats just what I do... I got it backwards....lol |

the amount of confusion in any matter is directly proportionate to the amount of preconceived expectations one has in the matter.
no expectations = no confusionairy behaviors seemingly confusing the more one seek to find it's own criteria list, the more confusionairy data one will perceive. |

So from what I have gathered is dating is hit or miss and is decided in one date.

their can be no synopsis, or one has become lost looking for a synopsis.

I am looking for that connection.. you know when you slide your hand into there's.. and it feels right.. comfortable electric .. warm... like your hands we're made for each others.... I call it the hand holding test.. if I do not feel something when holding her hand... it's a sure bet it's not going to last... I know its not a lot to go on..... but every great relationship I've been in.... has passed the hand holding test...

I come in not guarded...I'll leave my shield and sword at the door...and see what happens.... and if we start talking about Humanity in general...greater good, or ideas that started out first for the greater good and ended up with less good results...we will be discussing or talking ALL NIGHT... I mean Jesus wasn't really a happy ending...(it hasn't even ended yet) That's why I don't bring this up on the threads here...lol |
