It seems all the fake messages I get try to lure me onto either a Russian website or Yahoo Messenger.. anyone know why? Is it easier to infect computers via Yahoo? There is not really any reason to go off site to talk to a stranger.. I've scammers ask me for my phone #, on their first message.. The first woman I sent my # to turned out to be be a stalker with fake pics stolen from the web.. Creepy.. |

when they do start scamming you they don't want the dating site to have any record of your communication that can be forwarded to the legal authorities.....

when they do start scamming you they don't want the dating site to have any record of your communication that can be forwarded to the legal authorities..... That makes sense, I never thought about that.. Yet another reason to stay on site when communicating... This is true and why when you talk on yahoo messenger to make sure you click to archive the whole chat with that person. Believe me it could help if you get caught up in a scam... But as some said they want you off the site. There is not much sites can do to protect you except to give you a way to report them and get them off the site... If they are not willing to stay on site to talk to you, till you feel comfortable with it.. Then they have other intentions... |
