Unfornately, that is the nature of dating sites. We are supposed to report them on here.

I just updated my profile to state that iam not interested in anyone who comes at me saying they are from the Usa but are currently working in Africa in the past week I have had about 6 guys with the same story they always profess a quick I am in love with you and want to come back from my job in Africa but I can't cash my paycheck. Could you send me funds for a plane ticket! Or worse they claim to be in the military uggg this crap pisses me off!

That is the common problem of the white people. scammers....
Scammers think that you guys are good samaritans.
A lot of dollars at the bank. jejeje

I played along with one for about 2 months all the while I was in contact with the police everything he said to me was recorded, first he sent me a check for 2500 dollars on a person in California it was not signed he wanted me to sign it and cash it then send the money by westertn union, of course I turned this over to the police , but I told him I would not forge a name on the check so he told me to tear it up and thenhe sent me 5 money orders for 500 each. They were fake I don't know if he was ever caught but I did the right thing by turning it all over to the police and he wasted about 2 months of his time cause he thought he had a good one. Haha:-)

The site does wish people to report a profile if it belongs to a scammer.

Both men and women profile's could contain someone who is trying to scam you. After a few bad experiences you will start to pick up on small signs what is happening. My experience is they will as for money in four or five letters and it is true they try and divert you from the site.

This does not mean every single person is a scammer that we all mutually seem to share a problem with, but it does happen.

Try and talk to a couple of people at a time if possible. That way until something truly does develop and your able to meet a few times, build some kind of relationship, and see how both feel. Online dating is difficult, but very similar to how you would meet someone face to face.

Scammer I can handle. I, for one, am sick posts written in all capital letters. Such a thing is the Internet equivalent of yelling.

Absolutely...some scammer claimimg to be serving in the Armed Forces in Syria been working hard to get me on board i got mad at first when his story and claims of undying love didnt match up...now im just playing the game..seeing how long it takes him to realise hes the one being taken!!

Fakes and scammers just make me appreciate the real members even more....

I also met some romance scammers on mingle2, but thanks God, I have never fell into their tricks.
And usually scammers are not looking for serious relationship here, they are only looking for money.
So dont give/ dont send anything, especially money to "them", even they are telling some sad stories about their fams/their life, just never ever trust "their stories".
Thats why we must take an action by reporting "them" to the mingle moderator, please dont just silent, because we could save many innocent people here.
Im sure, if we are doing that, maybe it's like we give cyber tight slap on their cheeks, at least in their pov...he,he :p
Scammers are lazy people, in my opinion.
Because they love money very much, but they never try to earn lots of money with their own hands by doing a real work hard.
Maybe cause of it, we also hate "them" very very much..he,he :p
