I have been on this site for a while now and have chatted with a few peoples on here and I seem to be noticing a major patter on this site and it seems to be individuals whom claim in their profiles to be in a certain place or country, but when you chat with them you find out later on that they are not in the place that they claim to be and I wonder if others have taken notice of this ?

Those people are called scammers. Report them to the moderators. |

Yeah,I guess this is true now and I have noticed Big time that it's mainly been girls whom claim to be either in Canada or the U.S. that have been doing this.

I'm sure if I did that, then a quarter of the so called girls on this site would get blocked because at least quarter of the women on this site are fakes

are they from Nigeria or from any South american country?

I can say for certain that Yes,most have said that they are Nigeria or other african areas on supposed business or something,so it seems to become a major pattern

They're all scammers, and it could even be male scammers posing as women....

And most scammers prefer saying about they are working abroad, also always saying they are orignally come from USA or UK, or Australia.
Most of them also using stolen picture from an innocent man or woman and claimed it as their real profile pict/real faces. |

Actually some people don't live where they're from. I'm American but I live in Turkey and I am not a scammer. People move around the world a lot more than they used to, so I wouldn't call them all scammers, but some are.

That is a different scenario and not exactly what the op is concerned about i guess....but you're right there coz i'm from Southern Africa but that is not where i am at the moment i'm not even in Africa right now |

People move around the world a lot more than they used to, so I wouldn't call them all scammers, but some are. I agree with your opinion. :D Really sorry, if sounds like I judge all people who working abroad / judge people from usa, uk, australia are scammers. I sharing my little knowledges above, it also based on my true bad experiences here. And really true, some are real person/not scammers, but some are scammers with their fake infos, etc. But honestly not too difficult to find scammers on mingle2, because most of them are so quickly showing their real motive ( always all about the money ). If maybe you meet one of them, all you have to do = report them to mingle admin, don't just silent. :D |
