We shall remember those who were so brave
Who lost their lives for us
As vintage spitfires standing still through time, just now a layer of rust.
Many stories come from these planes of war time Heros
Yet sad for loved ones that was left behind only having their sorrow.

But we shall remember those with such pride and love
As they are no longer with us just up above.
Back in the day as they flew their planes
Over the White cliffs knowing from that moment things will never be the same.

Some so young yet pilots in flight
As the engines roared in skies at night.
Spitfires we salute, you kept us safe
To keep our exsistsnce in the human race.

So we shall remember those that died
Many tears that have cried.
As a poppy we show for respect today
And wreaths that are always laid.

Not forgetting her elegant grace the spitfire alone
Yet long time ago many in flight hearing that deep engine tone.
So we won't forget all of them Heros we salute you
May be gone now but not forgotten, all that you did and for all you went through.
