I dunno why people noodle either. Putting my arm inside a fishes mouth seems creepy. Then I think catfish taste like dirt anyways. Someone should explain "noodling", too...

Actually the first time I heard the term was from my band master. It means to improvise or play a musical instrument casually. Oh. In that case, I've been known to "noodle" an instrument, when my heart's not really been in it. Most times, I prefer to play an instrument with great flair, fervor, and enthusiasm, though.

In that case, I've been known to "noodle" an instrument, when my heart's not really been in it. Most times, I prefer to play an instrument with great flair, fervor, and enthusiasm, though.
I have a cd which plays background music and I will noodle a melody of my own on my clarinet. I quite enjoy it and it certainly improves your musical skills. |

Noodling is a fishing method for catching large catfish by hand. It's popular in midwestern US states, however, illegal in many as a mortally dangerous sport. There are probably many internet videos of examples of it. Jeremy Wade devoted an episode of 'River Monsters' to noodling, I believe in Oklahoma, a state that, in my opinion, is so boring, one is willing to do anything for kicks.
Oh! If you have not had fresh catfish properly cleaned and prepared, regardless of the harvest method, you are missing a unique and delicious freshwater delicacy! Cheers! |

well you're on the topic of fish lol can you eat goldfish...like part of your diet ..?....they are cheap and they get rather big rather quickly...so I'm just wondering why I never see filet of goldfish at my fish mongers...

Try bleeding the catfish before cleaning. That should remove the dirt taste.
