Yes, I thought that the most interesting part of the question because it was the only part I had not really previously examined in my mind... and I came to basically the same conclusion you did... it's the practitioner and not the practice that matters...

I know of no organized religions whose beliefs and practices I would either "totally agree" with or "totally disagree" with... seems most religions get so complicated that they aren't even totally cohesive and consistant to me...
