Not of sadness but of joy
The warmth and love I have found
From sisters and brothers
Mother and friends
To my soul's other name
Laughter always around
Shoulders to lean upon
Someone to wipe a tear
No matter how far apart
Someone is always near
From Jello to Pirates
Old friends and new
Every thing discussed
Under the light of the moon
Churches offer comfort
Spirituality and inspiration
It is as if we are all in one big room
When one is in need
We all gather round
Lifting them above the ground
Prayers, love and light
Always shared
Given freely with delight
Often times we are serious
Trying to see another's point
Times come when downright silliness
Is the feature of the night
But through it all
We stand tall
Friends and family to the end
