Best gift=A sterling silver mesh bracelet to to with a set I had from a beau on an anniversary. He remembered that I was coveting it and it meant a lot.

Worst gift=A dozen red roses for a birthday from my ex-husband while I was pregnant with my boy. He knew to NEVER get me red roses. We were robbed at gunpoint when I was 14 with someone pretending to deliver roses to Mom from Dad. Ahhhh. Still gets to me 7 years later.

Best: 3/4 carat pear-shaped diamond ring..............
Worst: The fact that I picked it out myself!!!

I love surprises, and I was totally bummed he wasn't smart enough or observant enough to simply listen to my hit-you-over-the-head hints......

best (apart from salvation from God): drawings and handwritten thankyou notes from a dear friend's three daughters.


worst: pink and white marshmallows from an aunt when I was 8 yrs old. reminded me of some pills I had to take for asthma as a child. (I did not take them often and did not want my mom to remember that fact!).

Best gift-my earrings that I wear, first gifts that the children were able to buy me on their own, and was a surprise

Worse gift-married in October, that Christmas received a stove for my gift so that I could cook him his meals

Never ever buy the one you care about something needed for the house, unless she requested it, and if you do buy something make sure that you get something personal to go along with it.
