If all the people that were eligible to vote and don't decided one day to actually show up and support someone other than the 2 parties the country just might change. In 2012 only 57.5 of eligible voters bothered to show up. This argument has a number of flaws: First, "eligible" to vote, this denotes some sort of a class system based on some contrived ideology that some are entitled to "privileges" not available to all. Second, "change". Based on what axiom? What would be different? A substitution of one set of statist for another set of statist does not connotate "change", just the methodology of slavery. And of the 57.5(%) that bothered to show up, can't say too much about their intentions, a misconception? What of the 42.5% of those supposedly eligible that didn't show up? Are they of a higher moral aptitude or just disgusted with the whole process? Of the the 100% that are eligible, what percentage are they of the whole? What percentage of the whole is not eligible? If Nock were alive today, what do you think he would say about your heroes Putin and Chavez? Or has this transformation into classic fatalism changed your opinion of the autocratic statism you supported in your previous lectures on this site? |

While the names have changed, the situation has but gotten worse. If you would have taken the time to read the book, then you would know that for the time of this work by Nook was dominated by Germany, Italy and Russia which he uses as his examples. Seems we are still in the same disparity as nothing has been learned from the lessons here in this country. Actually the masses are even dumber than before. And as to your assessment of my demeanor, it is as ill-formed as before and from prior history is in all probability destined to remain that way. But I do note that as before your preference is to divert the topic rather than defend your argument. Why would that be? |
