Perhaps the reason nobody knows "why this is" is because it, simply, isn't true.

It reads like the "approximately 14-1 female to male" ratio is simply made up to justify bad behavior,

As I said, it reads like "justification for bad behavior" when someone says - and others believe - "there's *like* 14 females to every one guy". Kinda makes it *like* the females aren't worth much...almost *like* they're a dime-a-dozen...or in this case, a dime-a-fourteen. *Justifies* why it's only "$20 bucks for a 12-YO", too.

jealousy in a relationship is normal,..but still depends on the relationship and the people you are with.. being in a relationship I'm always open to him in everything, especially to my feelings..but I tend to keep a privacy to myself..giving my password or having hes wouldn't be necessary...it's all about trust...just saying..
