if there's a home depot in your area ya may want to try to get on with them. they work well with school schedules. you'll have to apply on line first then they call you if they like what they see. startin pay isn't bad & if you do the job well they'll treat you well. down fall for part-times is alot of week-end work. if your only lookin for part-time.

i am majoring in fashion illustration with a minor in elementary school art. I hope to one day work with autistic children in art therapy classes. That is my dream!!! SoI hope to one day accomplish it, but I just need a new job to pay bills in the mean time, I have a few things lined up so I'm crossing my fingers that it will work out I know it will. It'll just take some time thanks for everyone tho that has given me great support and advice cause I am only 23 but in this day in age you have to basically have a bachelors at least to get anywhere.

unfortunately there are butts in hd also. i have an ops manager that i don't get along with but i go in do my job like i own the place & know in the back of my mind that he'll never get the best of me. then on the week-ends it's party on dude !!!!!!!

OH NO! I guess I shouldn't say I'm on my way to Home Depot now!! Keep your spirits up Golden. You are young with your whole life ahead of you. Try to set short and long term goals with a concrete plan on how to achieve them. It really helps you get where you want to be.

I'm glad u understand that. THAT company tries to put out such a good image about how they treat employees and how flexible the are with schedules...it's all propaganda and if u have a store mgr or ops mgr that doesn't like u it's an "at will" termination policy they can fire you for no reason what so ever and never have to tell u y.

it's an ok store since i worked there i have seen them outright cheating people out of $ or locking them into a sale with add ons just so they can get more $ when they could just get the item instock and not have to special
order so be careful when you shop there. they accually train us to do that that is another thing i didn't agree with

dang your store is quite different than the one i work at. that got to get the dollar from the customer everytime isn't tollerated at the store i'm at. infact when the store opened we had a manager that worked at wal-mart start up with us & that was his attitude. "i want u to even get the customers grocery money." 5 months later he go a job workin for bass pro. the higher ups in this district didn't tollerate the get it all at once attitude.

NO THE KNOBS ARE GOOD GO TO HARDWARE AND BUY INSTOCK ONES NOT QUITE AS MANY TO CHOOSE FROM BUT THE SPECIAL ORDER KNOBS ARE TWICE AS MUCH

take some classes on employment and job hunting at your local worksource office affiliate in your home town. capitalize on your good points. yup u will get roasted eventually for being late. that sends a message to the employer.

then, stay in school. that is your best bet. u r very young and have the rest of your life ahead of you. and you will probably change jobs at least 10 times in your life.
and quit picking on people just because they are packing a few. it will happen 2 u. my feet are poets and they don't know it. longfellows u know.

yes i was joking as i usually do on this site. also, i remember that when i was fired from a job, as i was.....it was the shock of my life. i worked for May company in California which has become Robinsons/May.
i injured my back on the job, and filed a claim. in 10 days, i was terminated for no good reason. i was escorted out of the building by security, lead out to the front door where they said don't come back. well, i didn't, but 6 years later in court, i won my case.

the firing incident was burned forever in my brain, and the shock of my life, and it hurt my ego seriously bad. but you see i remember it well, and will not repeat that mistakeagain. just like you won't i imagine. and about men, well you will have to learn for yourself. just be careful. there are wolves out there.
