Are you the kind of individual who, fron time to time, searches your inner self for things that may be there for no useful purpose? We humans are often in the habit of keeping around us ways, practices and nasty habits that serve no other purpose but to stunt our personal growth.
Except for the fact that I am a human animal just like any certified shrik,I am no shrink by any stretch of the imagination. But the term (Living Apart Together) LAT, your own term, makes me wonder what may be wrong with you to make you think that you can live apart from someone you pretend to love and feel like you are together.
I have made allowances for the possibility that I may misunderstand what you are trying to say. But if I did not misunderstand you, take it from me, Joe nobody, see a shrik while you still have a chance. Because it sounds like you are frantically looking for foods when you are not hungry, or you are doing all that you can to fall asleep when you are neither tired nor sleepy.

Interesting concept dude but wouldn't you need to be together to learn each other first then move out.......anyway I believe there is someone here for everyone, so good luck with that..
