Hi Mikey, those lyrics are me being a bit creative by resetting the song Believe It Or Not that is sung by Billy Griffin. He was highly regarded amongst soul music afficionados in 80s/90s
If you listen to the record but read my words you might catch that what i tried to do was change it from a confession of love after a breakup to a tune' that rejoices in a current ongoing love ... as befits the story you & your lady kindly share with is. You might recall me mentioning that the real hook to the track was the title, "Believe It or Not" i.e believe it or not wonderful love stories can happen on Mingle2. Well I know am crazy but the altered lyrics do work (just about) for my imagination. Try it and see what you think, might need a bit of vocal dexterity and a few drawls/speeding of words to make a real good fit but even approximate is good as it is meant as tribute to y'all and i think it just about does it. As I mentioned on my profile - and must be evident in my posts - I am nuts about music so this sort of play comes as second nature to me. All inspired by your amazing story. Regards dreadaye |

Yes.. But coming from experience and age.., if you don't also use your head, you might not have a very long relationship... I just don't see how someone who is 24 can expect to have a lot in common, with someone who is 54... He's old enough to be your father.. She's young enough to be your daughter.. Not saying it can never work.., but the odds are very slim.. Once the infatuation stage wears off a little, you BOTH will remember these words.. Still.. I wish you both all the best... I just think you are proclaiming deep love, before you even know each other.. Spending a short time together on the internet is not the same as spending years together in "real life".. That's when all the little secrets, idiosyncrasies, etc.. come to the surface.. Basically.., I'm concerned about both of you.. TRUTH I do not want to be writing this..... as i feel it is of no concern to anybody except us..... Heck, I thought we were on a dating web site looking for our connections.... well this is our connection..... we know it to be a true story..... To all our doubters.....and haters..... do you not think we have thought this out? We have spent many hours in deep discussion over what we have developing and whether or not to pursue it further..... even this thread took three weeks of deliberation, yessing and noing, should or shouldn't we?..... before we decided jointly to bare what we have to the world..... What seems like infatuation to you all is the 10% of us that we let you all see..... It is our silly playful game side..... the other 90% is a deep and meaningful understanding of each other now over three months in the making..... Mekay was drawn to me by what I wrote in my original profile..... we discovered straight away we had a bond linking us..... which I can assure everyone goes way deeper than infatuation..... this bond is deeply personal and will not be discussed here at any time..... this bond between us transcends any age difference and binds us together more than anyone I have ever known or even dreamt possible ..... On the subject of age gap relationships..... this is not new to me..... at 54, yes I have had several relationships..... six in fact, if you really want to know..... two were marriages and only two were to women older than I..... the other four were all age gaps of up to 20 years..... I have lived through deep tragedy in two of those relationships..... and as for Mekay..... this is not her first relationship either she has also experienced things someone of her age should never have to..... this has given her a maturity way beyond her actual age..... well we both know what we are getting into..... we understand all aspects of our age difference..... In fact we dont even notice the gap anymore..... but we are willing to pursue a future together..... For the doubters..... chill out..... if no ones getting hurt..... what do you care?..... For the haters..... Suck it up..... get a life..... find a date..... For our friends..... We love you all dearly..... Thank you so much for your support.....
