You know, I was doing some research and looked up definitions for Friendships, Relationships and Friends with benefits. Friends are two people who like each other and no sex is involved, but there is human emotion. Relationships are people who are seeking romantic love and sex is involved(is this not what many people are looking for?) Friends with benefits is unemotional, unattached and very incidental sex with no means of commitment involved. The last thing is that friends with benefits is that people don't respect one another, just sexual release. That, my friends, is very scary. Thoughts on this? I believe that knowledge is power. Note here that I looked these things up because I had to do a paper. These definitions vary according to the year that the dictionary comes out. Of course, we know these terms are not used a lot according to their dictionary meanings.

i find fwb is a very hard thing for two ppl to do. usually one one ends up really getting the benefits, while the other sits and waits for the other to call. ive never had a fwb relationship but ive seen many and havent seen one that actually worked totally. also, one ends up having jealousy issues or gaining emotional feelings that cause problems in the situation. jmo for what its worth darlin....

op was FWB in the dictionary ? I changed my profile to instead of looking for a relationship ...I put dating figured it had to start somewhere lol like a first date ... to move on to a relationship if that is what both wanted ... if not neither he or I after a date did not connect then neither would get hurt ... sounded ok to me ... I have seen remarks of some with FWB makes them happy but somehow feel if it would end they might not be to happy since it seemed they had been having for while ... now that I would say could be some that are married and having affairs knowing neither want to involve them selves in a relationship just the sex part ... although can be called something else like cheaters ...
