Topic: What does a man think if a woman initiates contact? | |

Well, if they live near enough for dating what I think is that it's probably somebody that isn't going to waste my time and never make a date, so it's cool.

I like it,and I think they have that privilege if they want to get to know someone.
I do not believe that they are desperate if they do that. just shows confidence. after all we're not in the 60s |

wow it's about time. a woman noticed ,all the work I put into keeping myself fit. and looking good.
.. if she can step up and appreciate that.. then she's going to appreciate and notice everything ! else I do for her... |

"Initiates contact"...Hmmm? Is that the same as throwing the first punch?

I don't mind when a woman messages first. Usually though, it's just a scammer.

The question came up on another thread that guys see 'desperate' if a woman initiates conversation. What do men think of a woman who takes the initiative? |
|
|
|
She's just looking for someone to talk to. That's what I think anyway.
|

Please ask them. Anybody can start a conversation, depends on what kind of conversation though. However, babies are not allowed in the dating site, I guess.

I talk to strangers constantly, online and in real life. Like almost everyone I enjoy attention and I dig it when people strike up a random conversation, male or female. There's nothing desperate about wanting to create a dialogue with someone new. Agreed. Well put. |

Its all good...they are searching profiles and see one they like how else they gonna get an introduction.
You gotta grab the attention of the one you like. |

It all depends on what you mean by "initiating first contact".
If she smiles and says hi, I'm a bit intrigued. If she grabs my junk in the checkout line at the store, I may be just a bit taken aback. |

Why would a female taking initiative be a bad thing? I agre, but it took a long time to leave behind, ideas from the past where we were raised being told that a girl who goes after the guy is desperate or easy. Thank you to everyone for sharing your thoughts. It's definitely encouraging to some of us that are still learning on here. |

it tells me, here is a confident woman who knows what she wants and is not afraid to reach out and go for it....although expected from men, an admirable quality for either sex nonetheless...
