Well... I don't believe in the "soul", so no. "Love" at first sight... well, I don't exactly believe in the contemporary expressions of love, so that's a no go.
I do believe that you can become instantly infatuated with someone, but not even out of shared interests. There do seem to be those individuals that pass through our lives, and as we first experience them we have the sensation of wanting to consume their time - like Chuckie P said - "... a mutual addiction." That type of thing has happened to me at least four times now. But the idea that there's just someone waiting for you out there seems radically unsettling in a way, as if they're some static entity that isn't constantly changing the same way that you are. |
