With so many friends out here, and new friendships starting everyday, what do you consider a true friend?

My Best Friend is one that we would drop whatever we were doing if the other one need something. She is the first friend I have ever had who puts everybit as much into our friendship as I do! She Rocks!!!

A person that would always be there for you. Someone that you can say your worst secrets to and they are still there. My girlfriends have been there for me...when I needed them most. We support each other in everything we do. We don't necessarily even have to agree on things. We can look beyond what's going on...and just love and support one another...always.

someone who takes you for who you are and you can depend on to tell you the truth and you can tell everything to and know they will not tell anyone.

Honestly, a true friend is someone you can depend on. They will always listen to you, and consider what is really best for you before they reply. A true friend will try to help you, but won't carry you. They might pick you up, and give you a nudge though. A true friend won't ever demand something to be selfish; they would only demand something to save you from yourself. Someone who is a true friend is willing to share in lifes joy and sorrow with you, and expect nothing in return.
Anything less is not true, perfect friendship. Several ancient cultures had words for a type of love that is between friends. In fact, most cultures have/had words for several different forms of love. Maybe it is a sad reflection on our own culture that we don't.

my friend is the one who knows me so good, that with just seeing me he/she knows what is going on with me

and obviously i can do the same for him/her
that is why really important establish a friendship before a relationship

a true freind to me is someone who accepts you for who you are watches you grow ..i had alot of fair weather freinds when i was drinking now i have real freinds ones that support me not encourage me to drink..

someone I can be silly with, tell my deepest thoughts with, someone I can trust with my life.......

someone who accepts me faults and all.......and all the crazy **** Ive done in my life....

Strange how in life You find a special friend on the Internet
