Memory loss
Two exceedingly polite ladies, who have known each other since 'they were little gels' were in the habit of meeting up every Friday evening to play a little bridge. On one such evening, as the log fire crackled, and the little glasses of port were being sipped delicately and their gentleman partners were discussing the ways of the world, one old lady speaks suddenly to her friend. "My dear, I am frightfully embarrassed to ask this, as it may hurt, but" she pauses, "Well, the truth is, I know you and I have been friends for many, many years, but do you know, I cannot remember your name." She blushes and a little tear comes to her eye, and she watches her friend go through all sorts of horrific emotions at what she had just said. "How soon do you need to know" she eventually replies. |
