Shari looked at the sign as she went up the steps to the apartment door. No Dogs Allowed. David bounced up the steps beside her. He was very excited to show her the new apartment he had found for them. "Just wait until you see the view Shari, it is panoramic." Shari's brows drew together as she tried to work out her confusion. "David..." she started. "..and the shower. It is fantastically huge, we both can fit!" His boyish smile flirted with her senses. "I'm sure there are lots of closet space for you. I told the agent that was a must." Shari stopped on the landing and touched his shoulder. "But David..." He turned to hug her and lift her from her feet. "I'm so sure you will love it I already put down the deposit." Her feet hit the floor with a thud. "Wait, what? You put a deposit down already? I haven't even seen it" David smiled excitedly, "I know, I know. But you are going to be in heaven here! I can't wait to move in with you!" Shari was stunned. "David, the sign on the building says No Dogs Allowed" David pressed the elevator button. "Oh yeah, that. Don't worry you will find Jake a good home" The elevator opened and David stepped in. Shari felt like the air was suddenly too thick to breathe. "I can't find Jake a new home. His home is with me." David took her hand and led her into the elevator. "Look Honey, I know you liked having Jake to keep you company but now you have me. We will start a new life here and I will be all the company you need." Shari drew her hand away and stepped back out of the elevator. "No David. I can't do that. I won't do that. You're going to have to start your new life on your own. I belong with Jake." David's face dropped in disbelief as the elevator door closed. Shari felt her heart pounding and pushed back out the front door. Cool air rushed to meet her as she again looked at the words No Dogs Allowed" Relief poured out her eyes as she turned to the street thankful she been able to read the signs.

Well,...you can see how much she loved him,.....what I can say is if you are replaced by a four legged creature, ....she is definitely not worth it......let her married her dog, and have a family...!!!!

I'd say she was a smart woman. Doesn't sound like David had any consideration for her. All he thought about was what he wanted.
Unconditional love... try locking your lover and your dog in closet for a day and see who's still happy to see you when you unlock the door. |

I agree. I met lots of guys that treated their dogs better than me and they were surprised that I dumped them. ![]() |

Interesting responses. Personally I think anyone who says that "I will be all the company you need" is a little scary. Thanks all!
