| Is electro house like techno or is there a difference? I have never really gone for all the different music genres, but techno is different from electronic. I would struggle to dance to some techno, there are varying degrees of techno, but I can dance to hard trance ha ha confused you even more now? Techno is a harder, faster BPM usually although I am sure someone more knowledgeable will be along to give us a clear definition For instance, I could dance to this one (prepare yourself, lady) This is a hard trance techno mix http://youtu.be/lnVdkVNrtGs This type of techno I can dance to http://youtu.be/cNOP2t9FObw Then there is 'happy hardcore techno' get ready for this one http://youtu.be/6_jJSMODJC4 Not my cup of tea at all has that helped or hindered? | |

| Hi Cosmic, I've listened to all but in my opinion there's a fine line between the 3 although I much preferred listening to the happy hardcore techno and still somewhat confused. Not sure I can dance to them.....well maybe if I was high enough lol. Have to admit though that I'm a prog rock chick but I guess that's because I grew up in that era. Haha your ace lady I grew up on rock music too, mostly the trippy stuff moved to punk, then discovered gay bars and dance music in the mid-eighties, I never looked back! I don't profess to understand all the different genres at all, if it has a heartbeat rhythm and my hips swing I am there! This is the BPM my son likes to listen to and I would personally call this techno, especially at 4.43 where the sound/beat/BPM is cranked up to a whole nother level, a scary beat lol which is MOST definitely techno if you get that far! But also have to admit I love Mark EG he has been known to play some seriously good hard trance tunes so get ready girl and put your middle finger up!! http://youtu.be/ySKSWclgfVI Btw good to see you Tom4Uhere | |

| Really enjoyed that Cosmic, thanks. I'd have loved to have been there You are very cool there wasn't much dancing going on from what I could see, but still, I like to watch Mark EG at work, he is a nutter This tune for you is in the genre 'global electronica' far more preferable than hardcore techno Wally Brill ~ A Loop In Time http://youtu.be/nwrcyCi8ro0 | |
