I would suggest working to rekindle what you have.

Most people just repeat their patterns and find something very close to what they have already had so trading in the old model just means you are going to repeat the past in your future.

The older you get the less eager you are to repeat your patterns and the more likely to be left with no one other than yourself so you have to make yourself bearable or be alone so you might as well fix yourself and see what it is that is causing the love to fade out with the one you are with rather than going through breaking in a new model. .
