Everytime I try to go for a girl she either ends up going with another guy, stops talking to me randomly, or my favorite HAS A BOYFRIEND! Fanfreakintastic! Like the girl I met at Fanime! I was thinkin, "Hmm maybe something could happen here." But in the back of my mind I kept tellin myself, "It's not going to happen, something's going to get in the way, give up before you start feeling again, just give up on feeling ever." And wouldn't you know it!?!?! She has a boyfriend....I'm done! I don't need a girl in my life. My family is all I need and some friends. They're always there for me, they always listen to me, they always have my back, they support my every endeavor, they push me to be the best that I can. I've gone already 19 years without a relationship! TO HELL WITH DATING EVER...Why am I so undatable...

Your only 19. This is the time in your life you should be having fun, not concentrating on finding a girlfriend.
I'm 32 and have hardly kept a boyfriend longer then 6 months. Forget about girls, go have fun with your guy friends. |

That's pretty passive-aggressive.
S*, you don't know...Try having a conversation over dinner about your interests when they include cannibals. |

As I'm reading your post, I'm asking myself if you approach a lot of things with an attitude of not being worthy.
If so, only you can work on those underlying reasons that make you feel this way. If you feel undateable or unloveable, there is a high possibility that you unconsciously sabotage yourself. I agree with the other mingle friends who posted that you are young and should have fun. You are at that wonderful age where your future lies ahead of you. An unpainted canvas with endless possibilities. Go to school. Build your dreams. Don't be in a hurry. All things happen in their own time when it's meant to be. Wish you all the best. |

LOL I can see why you're "un-date-able". You're pessimistic. Or you're not even trying. You're only 19 yet you seemed like an old man dying to have a relationship. Don't worry, there's so many fishes in the ocean. Try to hang out with your friends and socialize with others ;)

What???? You're giving up, at the age of 19?????
That's where you are going wrong mate. Look everyone stuffs up when it comes to relationships. Most people have gone through the SAME ups and downs, just most don't admit to it. You're only 19, so I think you're expectations are being fuelled by your hormones. Sure there are people who are far luckier in love than you, but that's the way of life!!! We are not all equal, no matter what people say. Look, you need confidence. But Yeah, I get it, it's hard to have confidence when you always stuff it up. But quitting is not the answer. The measure of a man, is not how you fall, but how you get back up again!!!! So STAND UP MAN!!! Try AGAIN!!!! You need experience with women. You NEED to stuff up relationships, you NEED to get dumped, you NEED to have your heart ripped out. Only after all this, will you know what you are looking for. You need to learn the ropes first. Walk, before you run. If you were to meet THE ONE, right now, you will probably BALLS IT RIGHT UP!!!!! So consider all the failures you've had so far, as necessary experience. I could go on and on, but the readers may be falling asleep by now. All I'll say, is that when it is RIGHT, you don't have to try too hard. It will just happen. You can't FORCE LOVE, so don't even bother trying. As the saying goes, you FALL in love. Not FORCE in love. It takes TWO to tango. When LOVE occurs, you are both Tangoing and the world can't stop it!!!!!! Mark my words mate, in 10 years from now, you'll be looking back at this moment, and laughing at your inexperience. Don't judge yourself, by judging others. We are all different!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey I'm still looking for my soul mate at the age of 42. I know she's out there, I just have to find her, amongst all the other women that are out there. But if you don't give yourself the opportunity to get to know a woman, then how will you know who your soul mate is!!!!! Ohhh, before I finish up, learn the difference between falling in lust, and falling in love!!!!! Jimbo, Over and out. P.S. When reading other peoples replies, don't take them too seriously. I didn't see many that offered any real help. All I saw were people who were quick to judge!!!! The world is full of people like that. Get used to it. And remember, STAND UP MAN!!!!!!!!! |

Ever heard of positive thinking, don't talk yourself into rejection, for it will certainly happen.

ah to be 19 again! Fanime chicks are only into 2D boys lol.
but seriously, more positive energy cause I think that might be your problem. Girls go for confidence :) |

Just because you tell yourself you're giving up doesn't rid your desire to want it again.

When you invite negativity, failure and disappointment into your life, as you clearly exhibit, you cannot be surprised when it comes knocking.

If they told you they already had boy friends then they are being honest with you. I am sure you have heard this from girls, "Can't we be just friends?" Be careful about discarding those because chances are they are being honest with you. Just because they are unavailable doesn't mean they don't know some friends who are. By socializing with them you may find that your confidence may go up even though they are not your girl friend. If nothing else it has a tendency to get one's self out of the shell so to speak. |

Great post, great advice. Its tough when you want that shiny car thats seems so perfect for us and can't have it. That holds true for most everyone, ofter or at one time or another. Thats great that family and friends support you emotionally..that is as long as its realistic and sincere. It doesn't do you any good if someone is blowing smoke up your azz. As long as it is REALISTIC encouragment, then your right, you have a great support line, which would make you very lucky. We WILL achieve our short and long term goals on the same principal, kepping them and the time frames realistic for us. Basically I'm saying if its all of this then I agree, just stay the course and the confidence shall come from your progression. I myself didn't have a serious relationship until I was 29 yrs old. I was more about gettin' paid & gettin' laid Eventually there will be one that you both lay eyes on each other and you will both know right there and then.I prefer to wait for those times (Because they do come)best you can do is prepare for that day as @BHJ is saying. It will happen regardless, if you have your shiit together or not. If you are fully functional in life your credentials with make you attractive to a group that you may have a much higher chance to enter a viable relationship.Minimize the trials and tribulations (they are painful and f* you up. So yes preparation on relationships is a great preventer on your part.Don't find yourself at a library at the end of a painful relationship wondering WTF just happened as I did after the third. "There are three kinds of people in this world: -ones that make things happen -ones that watch things happen And the ones that say WTF just happend" (dont be that guy) Also the quicker you learn that there is always another dude thats tougher, ect... with a bigger you know what,, then the better off you will be. Its all about who you can or can't be. Which brings me to one more quote that seems fitting for you and its the "The serenity prayer" thats been adopted by Alcoholics Anonymous. "God grant we the serenity to except the things I can not change the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Very best Pony |
