We're talking about the RINO McConnell here. Most would say he's a Dem from his voting record... like the rest of the establishment RINOs (McShame, Graham..... you know the list).

Putting people on medicaid is simply expanding the entitlement list at taxpayer expense and does nothing but expand big govt control over impoverished healthcare recipients.

Look what such healthcare (under govt control) has done for the Vets of late!

Welcome to the machine!

Another pure pile of rubbish. If one were to spend the same amount of time seeking knowledge rather than rubbish......

But the great state of Kentucky, what a model to hold before the world, a state of little intelligence it seems, after all look what represents them. But lets look at the stats:

640,000 - uninsured citizens, which is about 15 percent of the state's population

413,410 - Kentuckians are enrolled in new health coverage, including Medicaid and private insurance.

330,615 - have qualified for Medicaid coverage.

82,795 - have purchased private insurance.

Now if all the states would jump on this bandwagon I hope the taxpayer got a BIG barrel of KY jelly. Oh well what's another couple hundred billion of debt, I'm sure Cypress could buy some government bonds next or maybe Belgium has some additional cash.

Does anybody think the "Affordable Care Act" will remain a guiding force in our country after the next administration steps in to take over?

Yup as it should and be improved as we go.

Since there aren't any of those, I can't see the improvement there.

Yup as it should and be improved as we go.

Should be, you mean like the slave states of old? And what improvement, let's just let the slaves live in nature, much more profitable not to have to build or maintain shelters.

But for the ignorant masses that don't quite qualify for that lustrous entitlement class, you are going to love 2015, but not nearly as much as 2016 if we make it that far.

Why there are so many new and wonderful features for the insurance companies, accompanied by all those increases in premiums, not to forget those wonderful raises in premiums, and let's not forget the fabulous bail outs, rumored to be huge.

Of course there aren't death panels, just the right not to offer that treatment because there are no returns on the investment, just good business sense.

But no problem, the generic brand of pain killer is still on the approved list, wouldn't want anyone to suffer, would we?

The real impact of Obozocare on the average pocket book has not even been "allowed" to implement as written yet thanks to Obozo thinking he has the power to "over-ride" congressional law.....delaying them (which he has NO legal power or authority to do!) until after the 2014/2016 elections.

After that, all bets (and delays) are off! Too late to change or repeal it then and this wonderful tax will then be fully implemented..... then listen to the liberals biotch....since we will most likely have a Repulsicon POTUS then to blame it all on!

IF a republican potus gets elected, the Vet medical issue will probably mean the death of Obamacare. The whole single payer system is corrupt.

I've been fighting the VA system for 40+ years! It is the future of Obozocare!

The liberals are welcome to it and now they've dragged the nation into it.....exempting themselves and their supporters of course.... for the time being......

But wait till the delays are gone!

I don't think there will be a single liberal with anything good to say about it then..... and of course...... they'll blame everyone and everything but themselves!

Unless of course Hitlery is elected...... then they'll blame Repulsicons for sabotaging it somehow....... even tho they are the only ones voting against it and had nothing to do with the writing or implementing of it.....

I can see it now...... Romney dood it! Even tho Hitlery tried it 1st.... and failed!

It's taken over 40 yrs and 40+ (news worthy) dead vets for the veterans to finally get someone addressing it...... for the idiot liberal voters (the non-service public) their fun is only just beginning!

22 veterans committing suicide every day of the week, Agent Orange, and Gulf War syndrome from depleted uranium use/contact, wasn't enough to get them to admit problems with the VA system or reimburse the vets (like myself and thousands of others) for hardships and issues caused by them....... it will probably take genocide for the liberals to admit a problem with govt run healthcare.... aka Obozocare.... for the general public!

Trust me when I say the abuses experienced will be far more than just a "dollars and cents" issue in the future! They've thrown MILLIONS at the VA problem and fixed NOTHING!

Welcome to my world!

Many Americans are looking to take "medical vacations" in other countries for treatment.
Look for the real negative impact of Obamacare to hit in a couple of years.
We may all want access to the death panels then.frown

You should look upon Odumbocare from a positive point of view, that this is the best and most affordable it's ever going to get. It's all downhill from here. And that hill ends in a cliff, it is going to be such a magnificent crash, a real world-beater.

Well, the show has started, the popcorn is all buttered up and we all have front row seats. And you have to admit the show had a grand start and the plot is thickening.

If You're Uninsured Next Year, Prepare For Your Obamacare Penalty to Soar

www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/06/01/if-youre-uninsured-next-year-prepare-for-your-obam.aspx

Even insurers have needed time to fully understand the demographics of their enrollees in order to price their premiums properly to both attract consumers and generate profits.

whoa whoa whoa

I don't know if having only one option that is priced outside my range for payment is actually attracting me as a consumer, but it's sure intended to generate carrier profits.

Obamacare, aka the grumble Affordable Care Act is nothing but a slap in the face to those of us who are being deliberately priced out of coverage.

Isn't it remarkable at how those so entitled get what they want, and then cry about it and think somehow it is a slap in the face. Now this could almost lead one using logical deduction that perhaps these entitlement individuals didn't really know what they wanted. But to those capable of using critical thinking skills, then they would know this is not the case. The real real problem being stated is there are those more entitled than others, the the ones left out didn't qualify for the "free" stuff. Now there is to be a big clamor, after all this is an election year, for those politicians to steal more so that they can also qualify.

But what this party fails to comprehend, the slap in the face hasn't gotten here yet. Oh yeah, there will be a few little bi#ch slaps here and there after November, but the real stuff doesn't happen until after the next major election cycle.

Maybe this is one of the reasons!

In 2012, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs paid at least $11.4 million to 174 nurses, mental-health specialists, therapists, and other health-care professionals who, instead of caring for veterans, worked full-time doing union business.

The list of these taxpayer-funded union representatives at VA offices around the nation and their salaries was obtained through the Freedom of Information Act by Georgia representative Phil Gingrey's staff and provided to National Review Online.

So many health-care providers were on that list nurses or physical therapists or whatever they may be when so many veterans are falling through the cracks, a Gingrey aide tells me.It's kind of shocking that these paid employees wouldn't be fully dedicated to patient care.
In total, the VA spent at least $13.77 million on 251 salaried employees performing full-time union work. Others, who were not included on the list provided by the VA, work part-time for unions at the taxpayer expense. In fiscal year 2011, the latest on record, the VA used 998,483 hours of this official time, costing taxpayers more than $42 million.

The newly released records show that in Baltimore, which has the nation's longest wait times for veterans claims, taxpayers covered $372,674 in salary costs in 2012 for a clinical dietetic technician, a patient-services assistant, a health technician, a medical-support assistant, and two nurses to spend all their time at work on union issues and none of it working with veterans.

In Columbia, S.C., the VA pays one health technician a $40,706 salary to work for the American Federation of Government Employees.

...At the Phoenix VA system, where CNN has reported that at least 40 veterans died waiting for appointments, taxpayers cover the costs of a practical nurse (salary: $54,014) and a medical-administration specialist (salary: $59,849), neither of whom work with veterans. There, as many as 1,600 sick veterans faced months-long waits to see a physician, according to CNN.

In Boston, the VA paid a cumulative annual salary of $587,112 in 2012 to six nurses who, instead of treating patients, work for unions.

Employees across the federal government are paid full-time or part-time to perform work for their various unions, but perhaps nowhere is the practice more offensive than the overburdened VA.

It amazes me how the focus is on dollars and cents with little of the conversation going to how little those massive funds and costs actually do to improve the quality of healthcare in the least!

Govt run healthcare (Tri-core... the VA plan.... Obozocare in different clothes) has had BILLIONS thrown at it, and the realization of its lack of quality has taken 50 years for anyone to focus on! The REAL issue...... that money does not constitute or translate to quality! Fraud, graft, corruption, with the unions and bureaucrats profiting while the victims .... er uh.... patients... suffer and die!

That's what Obozocare is! Just more corporatism..... and still more control, funded by the taxpayers on themselves!
