I just would like some opinions from a group that does know either of us.

My ex take our 8 year old son to her relatives house that my son doesn't know at all and leaves him there overnight so she could go out with a guy. I have my son my numbers to call me if he needed me to pick him up and they did let him use the phone to call me. He woke up in the middle of the night with a nightmare and everyone was asleep and all he did was cry all night.

What do you people think or any suggestions? My friend suggested getting him a prepaid cellular phone.

To be fair I would have to hear the other side of story before giving advice.

just asking but if she was going out with a guy why couldn't you just take him that night? is there more to the story because that's what I would do.

I'm wondering if there is a custody and visitation order. If so, maybe that's why she doesn't bring your child back if she goes out.
I don't know the whole story.
My only advice is hopefully you both can think of the best interests of your son. So many people use children as a bargaining tool or revenge when one or the other moves on to the next relationship. Always remember that what s wrong between you and your ex isn't your son's fault. Wish you the best
