There r genuine men here, just like genuine women. We r surrounded by ppl trying 2 cheat, scam, or otherwise b dishonest with one another. Its one of the major drags of online "dating." I have been here 6 months and not a single date.

People in my area r not interested, and people i am interested, r very far away. It happens!

It is however funny that we wrote something similar in our profiles. But I am not going to Canada... maybe the Caribbean in the summer?! And if I am going, I am going 2 fix a roof, maybe hit the beach once or twice and then back to the grind here!

I'm with you dear. I've been trying online dating for almost a year now and have been on two dates, neither successful connections. Now i have been solicited to be a cougar by many barely legal adults, asked to help in an emergency by men working outside the US or in the military on peace keeping missions, and meet several perverts, so one can't say it's not interesting but it is definitely frustrating at times. So remember a few things: don't let a few bad experiences damper your hope is finding someone, and never give up on your dream of finding someone because the day you quit could be the day he shows up lookingfor someone just like you. ;-)
