Alone in the dark
bitter loneliness fills my night
it wounds me deeper than any knife
deep darkness fills my soul
God what i would not give to feel whole

hope i cling to is thin as a thread
long is the night alone in my bed
love in my arms i wish to hold
before my heart turns hard and cold

alone in the dark do i cry
i hope to find love before i die
can anyone here me weep in the night
as i call for love with all my might
will someone ever come and save me
or is lonely all i shall ever be
