Why should anyone restrict their knowledge to only the stories that were collected together by one guy?

Those people might claim to be putting their faith in god, but in reality they are putting their faith in King James.

I would never allow a single other human being to choose what I should or shouldn’t believe. I’m quite capable of thinking for myself thank you.

Considering the writings of all men, or of no man, are all equally valid ways for a person to investigate their own spirituality.

Blinding yourself to consider only a single historical source makes absolutely no sense to me at all. Why would anyone wish to restrict themselves in such a limited way?
