I bit my bottom lip
thinking
about our first moment
it was like
butterflies
fluttering
nervously within my soul
as your breath
mimicked the gentle breeze
carrying ever so soft kisses that filled the emptiness
of the place called darkness
and with just a few whispers
and shivers
there was enough warmth
and light
for the moment to caress a lifetime with a perfect love

Not sure
how or why
we ended up alone
it could have been the conversation
or the laughter
or how easy you made the moment
it could have been a number of things
but there we were
dancing
like the clouds moving seductively through the stars
as time slowly tailored the mood
to fit how our bodies began to feel
and then
we made love
until the void between the past and tomorrow
was filled with us now
