I've met a few people from this site. Mostly good experiences (except maybe one). Not met any of my friends from the forums yet but I'm planning on it! I get six full weeks of vacation to use this year. First stop is Georgia! Can't wait to see Texas either! I wanna hug my Mingle Ma!

I'm planning on a trip to Kentucky as soon as the snow and ice clears there, so be sure to let me know and I'll be on my way!

Over the 35+ years I have attended other Ham radio, CB, and On-line group activities and found out it is generally a good idea to keep my private life seperate from my online life.
Don't want to get into the sometimes High school "stuff" that sometimes occurs when the online personalities don't jive with the real life person. Especially when you involve more than one person. Over the years I have not gotten wind of any Mingle meets being anything but a lot of fun. Probably because I am known for not repeating what I know to anyone and not listening to anyone trying to spread petty gossip. Maybe it is my personal luck that most of the people I know beyond forums have been exceptional people but that is influenced by the fact that I am very selective about who I do go off site with. And YES there are a few folks that have passed through Mingle that I consider very negative, unstable, dangerous people. But I respect every adult here to make that determination for them self. |

Nope, not met anybody from this site. There's a couple of people that I wouldn't mind having a few beers with, a laugh and a few games of pool. Relationship wise? I met my girlfriend closer to home, as her house is only around the corner from mine.

Yes, a local we dated a few times had some fun and good conversation she reconciled with her ex and I wished her the best. I run into her in town on occasion she goes back and forth with this guy and I don't wish to be in the middle. I would like to meet most of you I do wish there was a group meet and I also wish I could meet everyone on my friends list.

If there are people you really get along well with, why not make plans to get together? These questions are for anyone who wants to meet people here. |

I've experienced and learnt something similar to you, more so when it's been one-on-one meets rather than group gatherings though which others just had to give their opinion on. Incessantly Completely agree that its good to seperate the two also, or as you said at least be certain of those you let into it To be fair though, everyone I've seen post on here so far appears to be open, insightful and kind |

Im kinda new to all of this.~. Its was my grand daughters idea and how wise she is for 9. I can say that I have been talking to a nice woman i met in here... just friends.... its all good from here....and than maybe? who knows.... stranger things have happened...
