They can use them to spy on every aspect of our lives, but heaven forbid the tables are allowed to turn on them!

It was passed somewhere in late 2011 - early 2012 to have drones flying overhead "for protection". They were set to be in our skies by 2014.

However they were not only up earlier but they were handed out to various law enforcement groups in a few southern states (generally more governmentally compliant than the rest of the nation and are staunch about "confusion of respect with fear" within their practices by way of "how law and the people work") to normalize their use socially. Between things like the news (I think it was CNN) putting up stories like a drone going down in Iran (the drone was sold like a soldier that got shot all "tragic like", not that we were spying on a country we were looking to pick a war with) and the daily show doing their usual "Just play down the admin and laugh it off so you normalize it as a joke" deal while selling them to the public as "okay", we've had a lot more push for that than real things like: Actual civilian casualty counts, the fact that we have a drone caucus, drone strikes are determined by a presidential kill list, that drone use started with W. and hasn't ended with Obama, and that (in actual action) our government as a whole is fine with their use. It's a problem when the actual human face of the situation drones have created (at home and abroad) shows that their use has been virtually sociopathic in nature. If you have to sell it to your public on deflection and not on what they've actually done/been used for then that's a really bad sign.

If you want to take drones out of our skies it's basically about voting out the Dems & GOP who are in power (Mind you, the government regulates society directly or chooses those who regulate specific things within society directly. They also do decide things like "is military action warranted"). It take bipartisanship to keep this/drones up too.
