Mig, you have the problem of the exchange rate to deal with as well. But not all of Europe is expensive. The Eastern part of Europe is much cheaper, and Portugal is still relatively cheap. The northern parts of Europe are hideously expensive!!! Coming from London, I think Amsterdam is cheap, but after looking at the cost of living in terms of earning potential ... sheesh |

I lived in Western Ireland for a little while and its like stepping back in time.
People are polite and take time to talk to each other, there are beautiful houses, and stunning landscapes ... and the women are cute too ... |

But you better start saving money NOW. The prices compared to mainland Europe are ridiculously high.
