A poet I'm not but if I was I would want to pen a poem about the wildflower.
Remember me as a wildflower, in my youth a young girl who budded into a beautiful woman to full bloom to bask in the sunlight bringing enjoyment to those who lingered along the way to appreciate the graceful beauty of the simple things that life has to offer which is often taken for granted. Remember me as a wildflower, a fully mature woman fading with roots deeply embedded and seeds scattered in the gentle breeze always remember that my beauty will again bring joy another day with no replanting or cultivation because I have touched and made a difference in the life of a child. I want to be remembered swaying in the gentle breeze unnoticed by most and appreciated by those who who know of my graceful beauty. mowildflower Jan 2014 |

How in the heck did I miss this?....I can tell you how much I enjoyed reading it the first, second, and yes, third time Mo, but I am afraid that would not begin to convey to you how much I like this piece....
Shhhhhhh, don't let this get out....Mowildflower is a poet who don't know it.... |

Mo, and so it is ye shall sway in the breeze having seeded this world in your own right and, with your own inner and outer beauty. We gain from all that is you.
You, my sweet friend, are both remembered now - and appreciated. tommo / Ireland PS: Nicely expressed wordplay, Mo. I found it very rewarding. Well done. |

Leigh, Thank you for your graceful words of appreciation.
Might I add, you have been missed, you have not been seen here in this fine community lately. I always looked forward to your words and thoughts. Perhaps, we will see more of you. Tommy, your thoughts are appreciated, thank you. It is good to see you posting again. Your writings are always an inspiration to me. Swit, Thank you, perhaps we will see more of you in this forum. Winter is right around the corner, for me that means less daylight and more time spent inside. Coffee first thing of a morning in front of the computer screen rather than sitting outside listening to the birds chirping/singing merrily. A reminder that there is a season for all things. |

One year later...
When I went back in time, after reading this post, I thought, so much has changed here in the Poems and Creative Writing Community since then. Where has everyone gone? It was a community where folks posted some really good stuff, and I found I wanted to get creative, a creative side of me that I otherwise would not have tried to explore and develop. I'm still not a poet but I sure like waking up with fresh new ideas dancing around in my head needing to be explored, flowing onto a blank pages, fingers dancing on this keyboard. Not much inspiration in this community anymore. Looks like all the old folks moved on, must have decided this dating site wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Seems like nothing ever stays the same... |
