I have been a member of this site for a few months and in all that time I have only made one friend and now the one friend that I have made is leaving the site so im back down to 0 friends. I am not looking for sympathy at all I just have a general question for everyone is this a dead site or something I mean several months and only one friend? I post in the forums no one replies I mean I do have cerebral palsy maybe women on here are scared of that I don't know but seriously does anyone have a good number of friends on here or am I wasting my time?

You're an amazingly talented person! Easy to talk to. Strong! Kind hearted.
Just like everything else in life you get from mingle what you put into it. Keep posting! There are really cool peeps in the games. The coolest as a matter of fact. Go say hi! They will welcome you! I wish you the very best! Im gonna miss chatting with you and all my friends ive made. kywritter, Missy, Stormy, Aqua, Toks, Thur, Stuee, Dave, all the gamers ...I'm very proud to call you friends. |

I don't know about other folks but I don't see the whole friend thing. To me it is not about popularity it is about what a person is about. Are you friendly, funny, smart, have interesting hobbies, have your own means of support?
You only have 25 posts so that is not a lot of posts if you are wanting to be seen. And you are already knocking the people who are here? Not exactly the way to win friends and influence the people who are here? I sooner think it is you are just young, and a student at home (maybe with parents?), so that may affect your eligibility? That and being pretty defensive about a disability that has a really wide range of impairment so copping and attitude with people about your version of it when you don't even say how it effects you is not really cool. The whole tats thing is kind of limiting because not everyone is cool with someone who is about showing them off like it is some kind of badge of whatever. At 20 Something kind of makes you look like a kid wanna be. Running around half dressed is a major turn off to most women especially someone who might actually be age appropriate and want her parents , friends, and co-workers to see your profile. |

isn't a relationship just a friendship which is all I was originally hunting for anyway before everyone started to run away but thank you just goes to show the saying is true you should never judge a book by its cover

I don't think anyone was running away or particularly judging you. Some people were just pointing out possible reasons why you haven't found anyone yet, since you asked for opinions. Pacific made some really excellent points in her post which should be taken to heart. Even if you're just looking for friends, there are certain things which can be a turn off, and you should be prepared for different reactions. That's not good or bad, it just is what it is.
As I said, I'm glad you found someone who is accepting of you. Best of luck in the future. |
