It's kind of sad that some people can see so many signs that they are talking to a scammer and ignore their knowledge to chase love. It's called desperation. Or stupidity. Either way.

I once tried talking to a guy I'm pretty sure was retarded and mean actually retarded. He had been talking to this scammer and sent it a bunch of money. He was convinced no matter what evidence I showed him that it was the love of his life.

Like one of the pictures this guy posted of his fake GF I found the un edited picture and posted it in the comments of his post on facebook. He got really mad at me and accused me of trying to shame him. What I was trying to do was to shock him into reality. To show him Where the picture came from. But it did no good what so ever.

I was hoping I could keep him from sending more money to this person. He was put in contact with this guy who kind of got the actual person into the work that put so many pictures of her on the internet and he even talked to the actual person and her lawyer and the guy still refused to believe he was scammed. The level of delusion this guy had to have was astounding.

Sounds like he needed a caregiver...but seriously, some people really are that crazy/delusional. He might have "needed" to believe that ******** too, for whatever reason.... I could write a book about all the loons I've known over the years.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was in a group home of some sort. But it was just sad to talk to someone that far gone. I think even the guys I once looked after in group homes would have been easier to convince than that guy. I think I would have been his head open, replaced his brain and he still wouldn't believe what was told to him.

Which is why he shouldn't have been allowed to roam free on the net with no supervision. You also wonder why he was allowed to be in charge of his own money, since he wasn't responsible.

Well I know of one guy in the program I worked for was able to download a lot of gay porn and he wasn't supposed to have anything like that as I recall. One guy borrowed a staffs ipod, went into the bathroom and used it to look at gay porn and masturbate. lol The staff wasn't very happy.

I used to work in a bookstore and sometimes the men would take dirty books and magazines into the bathroom, they were then considered "damaged" and we had to send them back to the warehouse. I cringe to think they resold them somewhere else.

You'd think more people could read in a bookstore..but nope, it was so gross. We had to wear gloves to handle them, just nasty.
