Oh please.

Get a real dog.

Like a Viszla. Or a German Shorthair. Or a Weimaraner.

My favorite dog, but they're banned in my area :(

yes they are banned in more than one area/community in Ohio. I see no reason for them to exist they are documented dangerous over & over again.

I think other types of dogs are OK but I am nor a pet owner. I don;t like it when dog owners are inconsiderate and allow their dogs to roam freely to annoy others.

Its not nature that makes pit bulls aggressive they are actually very sweet tempered. Granted they are stubborn. Every pit that my friends own are very sweet and lovey animals. But again its how the animal is raised.

My favorite dogs will always be labs they are just awesome in every way. Where I am now we have a Newfy named Chewbaka and he is sweet heart of a dog even at two hundred pounds. But not my dog.

I do believe it is every pet owners responsibility to train and care for their pets properly. Untrained animals bring about disaster. If your dog doesn't follow proper commands and etiquette while out it can be costly and destructive not just to their environment but to others and the owner. Sometimes even to the point where the animal ends up being "put down". Which is completely the owners fault for not training their animal properly. Its not the animals fault its owners where jerks and it sucks that they are the ones who pay the price for having a bad owner.

American pit bulls are banned in the UK under the dangerous dogs act. A lot of people do have Staffordshire bull terriers though and the people that want a dog like that are usually arseholes that think that there's something gay about keaping a dog on a leash and their idea of training a dog is to kick or hit it when it attacks another dog. I knew a guy that had a Staffie and it was a nice dog and it was fine with people but it ripped another dog's throat out when that dog was just trying to be friendly.

I've got a labrador cross myself and she's really friendly and doesn't bite. She's a theif though and she will eat anything that I don't keep locked away.

I just rescued a 5 y/o pit/richback mix and I love him. But he doesn't like it if I love anything besides him.

Tawt, I got my Staffie, from The Dogs Trust, in West Lothian. For a rescue Dog, he's the friendliest wee thing, you could ever meet. I'm glad I got him and gave him a decent home! He's here to stay mate!

I've got a staffy too, and he's the greatest wee character ever. Wouldn't harm a fly, and just wants to play, like, all the time! Lol his wee staffy smile would just melt your heart :D sad to say though, there are some idiots who want them as status symbols, and those are the ones that give the breed a bad name. :(

I agree Cazzy. It's the owners that make a bad dog, nine times out of ten. The one I got is brilliant, but I need to stash my trainers and work boots from him, as he's already chewed a pair of my rigger boots to shreds! ha ha. My fault though. Apart from that and his killer farts, i've no complaints!

Haha aye mines is a bit windy too :o and a bit, erm humpy with his teddies which gets awkward when there's visitors in...lol I don't think I'd have him any other way though, he's hilarious. :)

Thank goodness i've no teddies in my house! ha ha. Had to put a lock on my sons room door though, as he's working away from home and he'd have a field day in there while i'm at work. Best not to chance it, eh?

I have never kept one dog, i keep two or tree; I like dogs. I travelled last year to a market where dogs were killed, fried, cooked, and eaten. Thousands were loaded in trucks and transported to another start to be eaten. I felt like i was in a different world; felt like leaving, but i had to do the documentary. The dog eaters told me how much they love dogs, and cant do without them.

Any of you ever watched a Staffy demolish a curry while farting all the time? Just stopped laughing, but got it on video. Class!
